Solnay for supermarkets
A queue at every till is the worst time for the network to drop. Solnay keeps scanning on the device, keeps the registers in step, and counts every drawer on its own.
Registers in the same branch follow each other's sales within seconds while they are online. Each one keeps selling on its own when they are not.
Scanning, totals and completing a sale never touch the network. A scan is instant whether the line is up or down.
Each register's drawer is counted per shift against what that register says it should hold, so a short drawer has a register, a shift and a person attached.
Expiry can be tracked on the lines that need it without batch ledgers on the rest. The owner sees lots about to expire.
Expenses are recorded at the register, with a reason, where the drawer count can see them.

FAQ
One on Starter, up to three per branch on Multi-branch, and up to ten per branch on Chain. Any rostered employee can sign in on any register in their branch.
Each sale moves the same branch figure. While the registers are online they see each other's sales within seconds. Offline, each one sells from its last known figure and the counts settle when they reconnect.
Any USB barcode scanner works. Scanners behave like a keyboard, so there is no driver to install.
